See what’s in store:

Stained Glass Haven

Our studio is equipped with everything you need for your stained glass projects, including PPE! Create comfortably and efficiently on ergonomic, adjustable sit-stand desks with dedicated task lighting. From cutting oil to patinas, we have it all.

Fusing Craftsmanship

Experience the magic of glass fusion with two separate table top Kilns: a Delphi-Ez-Pro-15-6-Kiln and a front-loading microwave kiln for plate glass and smaller projects.

Multidisciplinary Opportunities

The possibilities are endless when you have a diverse range of materials at your disposal– many of our artists love that Past Lives offers the opportunity to build cross-disciplinary projects such as custom lighting fixtures (iron work), cabinetry (woodworking), or sculptures (ceramics).

Commissions Are Open

The Glass Guild at Past Lives Makerspace is available for hire for unique commissions! If you’re looking for custom glass art, reach out for a free consultation to see if we can match one of our guild members to you.

Commissioning our makerspace allows bespoke art enthusiasts the opportunity to directly hire the Portland-local independent artists within our membership.

Being a Guild member gives you first access to earn an income from Guild commissions throughout our makerspace.

Join Our Glass Guild

Create with confidence in a secure and supportive environment.

We offer classes to enhance skills and host open studio hours for a casual, collaborative co-working experience. Attending guild meetings offers members direct access to group project discussion, equipment introductions, and vital conversations about our communal spaces. There is no additional fee for guild membership and participating helps members meet like-minded creatives and direct access to the Guild Lead.

The Glass Guild has recently received the donation of a lifetime: a retiring artist’s entire lampworking studio! Guild members have been working diligently throughout late 2023 to set up the new workstation. Plans are to complete upgrades for kiln ventilation, etc., in early 2024. Stay tuned for updates or become a member to actively shape our evolution!
